Butterfly English Muffins

Create a butterfly on your child’s plate with this simple but pretty breakfast idea using Smucker’s® Simple Blends™ Wildberry Fruit Spread. English muffins are cut and decorated with fruit spread, cheese and banana slices to resemble a gorgeous edible butterfly.

Freezing : not recommended
Makes: 1 Butterfly

Ingredients:

1 whole wheat English muffin, halved, and toasted
1 (21g/0.75oz) marble cheese stick
1 tbsp (15mL) Smucker’s® Simple Blends™ Wildberry Fruit Spread
8 banana slices

Directions:

1. Cut each side of English muffin in half. Spread with fruit spread. Meanwhile, place cheese stick in centre of serving plate.
2. Arrange 2 English muffin quarters on each side of cheese stick to resemble butterfly wings. Decorate wings with banana slices. Enjoy!

Note:

1. These would also be great with mini pitas.
2. Have your kids garnish the wings with whatever they like: raisins, shredded coconut, cut up fruit, etc.
