Bananas are one of nature’s finest sweet treats. Capture that goodness in a chocolate banana smoothie. So simple yet so good.
1 cup (250 mL) milk1 ripe banana8 ice cubes1/4 cup (50 mL) Smucker's® Sundae Syrup (Chocolate)1 tsp (5 mL) grenadine or granulated sugar (adjust sweetness to taste)
1. Blend all ingredients together in a blender until mixture is smooth and thick. Serve immediately.
1. For a low-fat version use skim milk.
just a comment that helps those of us with diabetes: use 1% milk, replace the sundae syrup with 2 tsp cocoa and use 2 packets of sweetner inplace of grenadine or sugar...its fantastic... I also like to add extracts like a tsp of banana or vanilla or coconut and at christmas this year I added 1/2 tsp of peppermint. I've also added 1/2 tsp of rum extract and have also tried almond extract. Gives you that tropical island feel. You could also add a couple of chunks of pineapple and a couple of strawberries and you have a banana split in a cup! just some thoughts...

An excellent alternative to a milkshake for those with milk allergies. Chocolate and caramel syrup would be great in this too.
