Jam and Cream Cheese French Toasted Sandwiches

Jam and Cream Cheese French Toasted Sandwiches

Here is a delicious recipe to help entice your kids to enjoy a good breakfast before heading out. Instead of plain bread, this French toast recipe sandwiches Smucker’s Pure Cherry Jam and cream cheese between two slices of bread before being dipped in egg and fried to golden brown perfection. No need for syrup here. This one can be sliced and eaten on the go!

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 3 minutes
Freezing : not recommended
Makes: 2 sandwiches (2 servings)

Ingredients:

4 slices whole grain bread
2 tbsp (30mL) Smucker’s® Pure Cherry Jam

1 tbsp (15mL) skim milk
Dash of cinnamon, optional
Dash of almond extract, optional
