The Oh Canada Sundae

The Oh Canada Sundae

Who doesn’t love a delicious ice cream sundae on a hot summer day? According to the recent Smucker’s® Sundae Survey which polled Canadians from coast to coast on their ideal ice cream sundae, the ideal ice cream sundae is made up of one scoop of chocolate ice cream and one scoop of vanilla, topped with hot fudge syrup, whipping cream, strawberries and sliced banana served in a waffle bowl. The perfect treat for Canada Day!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 1 sundae

Ingredients:

3/4 cup (175mL) each, vanilla ice cream and chocolate ice cream
1 pre-made waffle bowl
2 tbsp (30mL) Smucker's Microwaveable Hot Fudge or Smucker's Sundae Syrup Chocolate Flavoured Syrup
2 large strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/2 banana, peeled and sliced
1 tbsp (15mL) whipped cream

Directions:

1. Scoop ice cream into waffle bowl. Drizzle with ice cream topping. Top with sliced strawberries and bananas and garnish with whipped cream. Enjoy immediately!

The Canada Day Sundae sounds great, but I would prefer Vanilla Ice Cream & Praline Pecan with the strawberries and banana, topped with Hot Fudge Topping and sprinkled with Long Shredded Coconut.
