Apple ‘n Cinnamon Crêpes

Ingredients

  • Apple ‘n Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tbsp (22.5 mL) unsalted butter
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced 1/4” thick
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Smucker’s® Butterscotch Flavoured Topping or Smucker’s® Sundae Syrup™ Caramel Flavoured Syrup
  • 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) cinnamon
  • 2 (2) 8” (20 cm) crêpes*, warmed & folded in quarters
  • Optional garnishes: ice cream, kiwis, icing sugar

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cup (175 mL) milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) canola oil

Directions

    Apple ‘n Cinnamon
  1. Heat butter in skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add apple slices and sauté until slightly softened, 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add toppings and cinnamon.
  4. Spoon into crêpes and garnish as desired.

  6. Combine first 7 ingredients in blender and mix until smooth.
  7. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
  8. Heat oil in 8”(20cm) pan over medium heat.
  9. Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls (50mL), tilting and swirling pan to ensure that batter coats bottom of pan in a thin layer.
  10. Cook until bubbles form, about 45 seconds.
  11. Flip and cook on the other side until lightly browned.
  12. Remove to a plate and continue with remaining batter.
  13. Keep warm in oven until ready to serve.
