Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Marinating Time 10 minutes or up to 3 hours
Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Crazy For Glaze
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) black bean sauce
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) chicken stock
  • 1 lb (500 g) flank steak
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) canola oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Combine Crazy For Glaze, black bean sauce and chicken stock.
  2. Slice flank steak as thinly as possible on the diagonal against the grain. Cut each slice into thirds. Marinate in 1/4 cup (50 mL) of sauce for about 10 minutes or up to 3 hours in refrigerator.
  3. Heat oil in a large, deep skillet or wok on medium-high heat. Add steak and cook for about 2 minutes, or until meat is cooked through. Remove steak from pan.
  4. Add onions and carrots. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until almost tender. Return steak to pan and stir to combine with vegetables until hot. Serve immediately with rice or pasta.

Tips

  1. You can also use shrimp or chicken instead of steak. Use your imagination and add whatever vegetables you like.
