  • 8 cups (2 L) mint-chocolate chip ice cream
  • 30 chocolate wafer sandwich cookies
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) melted butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Smucker's® Magic Shell® Chocolate Flavoured Topping


  1. Soften the ice cream in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, pulse the cookies in a food processor until crushed. (Or, crush the cookies in a re-sealable plastic bag with a rolling pin).
  3. Toss the crumbs with the butter. Press into a 9 x 13-inch (3 L) pan. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of ice cream over the crumb base. Using the back of a spoon, spread ice cream evenly over the crust.
  5. Freeze for at least 5 hours or until firm. Cover tightly and store in the freezer for up to 5 days. Thaw for 10 minutes at room temperature before slicing.
  6. Drizzle with topping decoratively over each ice cream slice to garnish.


  1. Substitute another ice cream flavour for the mint-chocolate chip ice cream.
